Friday  11/14  No Practice.  Westminster closed for dive meet that will not be over in time. They are supposed to be letting us know about the time the meet is over tomorrow.  We may have to push practice back a bit on Sat.  Still waiting for that.

The easiest way to get to Turner Gym is off of Moores' Mill.  If you are coming from 75 area get off at Moore's Mill and head west (towards Atlanta RD/Marrietta Blvd).  Turn right onto West Wesley.  Then about a half mile on the right is the back entrance to Westminster (comes up on a blind spot, look for 2 brick columns that say Westminster school).  Turn right into Westminster and Stay on that road and follow around to Turner Gym.

If coming from Atlanta Road, turn left at Bolton (Racetrac should be on your right) and thentirm left onto Moore's Mill.  Then take a left onto West Wesley.  About a 1/2 mile down on the right is the back entrance to Westminster (comes up on a blind spot, look for 2 brick columns that say Westminster school). Turn right into Westminster and stay on that road and follow around to Turner Gym. 

Once you arrive at Turner Gym continue forward past the building to the bottom of the hill and then turn right to go to the back of the Gym.  Enter at the double red doors labeled number 7.  Follow gray carpet to the pool.  

2014-2015

2014-2015 SEASON UNDERWAY

We have begun the new season of FutureSwim.  We are still working on logistics for Sundays and other days of the week. For now, we are doing Saturdays at The Westminster School.  For August it will be from 4:30-6:30 (Session 1: 4:30-5:30 and Session 2: 5:30-6:30) 

For Pricing you can click on the registration link which has the break down.  Aug will be adjusted for the short month.  I will be accepting credit cards (Visa, MC, Amex & Discover) and add a 5% convenience fee. You can still pay by check (made to FutureSwim) or cash.

Saturday, 5/3 and Sunday, 5/4

The Lovett Pool is still not fixed. We will have FutureSwim this afternoon at the Cobb Central Aquatic Center; 520 Fairground Street, Marietta, GA. We will have two sessions. First session is from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm and the second session is from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Please come to the session that is most convenient for you.

Chris has not been able to secure a pool for tomorrow, so there is no FutureSwim on Sunday, 5/4.

LOVETT CLOSED- from Thurs. 4/24 - 4/28. Emergency Pool Repair

Lovett is closed tonight Thurs. 4/24 - Monday 4/28 due to an emergency pool repair.  I am working on getting a pool for this weekend.

3/9 Sunday Practice Update-NO Practice

While I was able to get the Cobb pool, they could not find lifeguards.  The county requires they be county employees and none were available. March is a 5 week month.  That means there are 5 Sat. and Sunday's.  I don't charge for the 5th week for reasons like this. I know there may be times I can not find an alternate pool.  You still will get a full month in.  You may also come an extra time as well if you like.

Schedule during Lovett's Spring Break 3/8 - 3/16

It is Lovett's Spring Break and we have changes to the FutureSwim schedule.

Sat. 3/8  Lovett Pool Closed, No Practice (Marist not avail. as their pool is booked with Lifeguarding classes.)

Sun. 3/9  Lovett Pool Closed.  Marist unavail.  I am hoping to rent Central Aquatics center on Fairgrounds in Marietta.  Big 10 lane pool we would have to ourselves.  Would schedule it for 1-2:20 and have everyone come then.  Pool is big enough to handle everyone.  Probably could even use another area for the younger ones.  ALL this is TBD until I hear from pool people.

Because this is a 5 week month we are not losing any practice time.  If a Tues. Thurs. swimmer wants to come on a Sat or Sun.to keep that 5 practices they can. If a Sat. Sun. swimmer wants to come on a Tues. or Thurs. for that 5th practice, email me and let me know.  No swimmers from the beginner lane (coaches in water) can come on Tues.Thurs.  We do not have weekday, in the water coaches.

INCLEMENT WEATHER ***PRACTICE CANCELLED*** Tues. 1/28/14

Lovett is closed due to the snow and inclement weather.  Therefore, FutureSwim practice for tonight is cancelled.  

Weather closings: For issues like snow we follow Lovett's closing policy.  For rain with lightening, I will post on this website.  I wait to the last possible moment on rain/lightening conditions so it could be posted as late as 30 minutes prior to the start of practice. 

1/18 & 1/19/2014 Practice Changes

Saturday 1/18 Practice will be at The Marist School.  Practice start times are 4:00 and 5:00.  Note that this is a half hour earlier than usual.

Sunday 1/19  No practice. Lovett Pool still closed for MLK Holiday Weekend. Marist pool is in use by Marist Swim Team.

Practice on 1/26 & 27 will be back at Lovett.

Directions to The Marist School

- Travel on  I-285 North towards Spaghetti Junction

- Take Ashford Dunwoody Exit #29 and go right on Ashford Dunwoody Road.

- Go approx. 1.3 miles and Marist is on the right.

- Follow main road in all the way back to the Football stadium.  There is a parking lot on the right at the end of this main road. Park there.  Walk straight ahead with the football field on your right. The Laird Natatorium is in front of you. Do not go up the stairs.  Stay to the right an go in through the glass doors on the ground level.
