Coaches

I am pleased to introduce you to our outstanding coaching staff at FutureSwim.

Emily Hill
Emily has a very extensive coaching history.  She started out as a USA swimmer training with Swim Atlanta and Stingrays.  She began head coaching at 15 with the Smyrna Sharks swim teams and was head coach for 12 years. She maintains a coaching position at night with the rookie program for Smyrna during the summer.  Emily has been coaching for FutureSwim since it began and has watched many of her swimmers swim on to greater heights. Many of the top swimmers in the metro Atlanta got their start with Emily. She has coached for USA clubs CPAC in GA and the Clippers USA club in Northen KY.  Emily continues her swimming education learning the latest and greatest changes that occur in swimming. Emily is Lifeguard and CPR certified.

Sam Boatwright

We are very fortunate, blessed and excited to have Coach Sam coaching with FutureSwim. Sam has had his feet in the competitive swimming world since the age of 6. As an Atlanta native, he swam for the City of Atlanta Dolphins swim club and the North Atlanta High School Warriors. He continued his swim career at The University of Tampa where he specialized in the 100 breaststroke and 200 Individual Medley. He is currently a USA Assistant coach for the Chastain Park Athletic Club, Head Coach for rhe Smyrna Sharks and the head coach for the intermediate group at FutureSwim. Obviously, Coach Sam's experience and credentials as both an athlete and coach speak for themselves.



Chris Lash (Owner,Coach)
Chris has been involved in swimming for the past 26 years with various organizations.  She has coached for both the Middle and High School teams for Whitefield Academy. She has served on the executive board as the league administrator for the Cobb Summer Swim League serving 6,000 Cobb County swimmers for 10 years.  Chris' love for swimming started at 6, but became her passion when her daughter started with the 80 member Smyrna Sharks Swim Team (currently 500 member summer league program with 4 teams).  She has served on the board for 23 years and as the President for the last 12 years. Chris has been instrumental in the huge growth of swimming in the Smyrna area.
